Hi! For school, I need to do a biography on someone who inspired me, I thought of doing Kurt Cobain! I already have a few reasons on why he's inspirational, but do you mind giving me some more? Thanks in advance!

Hey! Hopefully this helps, even though it is simply my personal opinion. I believe he was inspirational for many reasons, but some of the main ones being:

  • His mind. He was a beautiful soul with a beautiful mind; books like his published Journals show us how deep of a thinker he was. He advocated for so many things, like equality and free thinking, which a lot of people overlook.
  • He saw music differently- instruments first, lyrics second. He made his lyrics purposefully different so people would focus more on the sound of the instruments. This is a style that changed music in the 90s, as he was one of the pioneers of the movement that taught everyone there is no default template for making music, or enjoying it.
  • Even though he made lyrics often viewed as silly or even incoherent to some, he was not incapable of writing beautiful things. His monologues and short stories were breathtaking. ("I’m not well written but when I do write, I write well.")
  • His core beliefs and principles are inspiring and his tolerance for opposing beliefs are as well.
  • Cobain was one who liked to question things, and I think his need to delve deeper into things instead of taking them at face value was inspiring.

If you need more I’d be happy to help, just let me know!

It has been 20 years that he was gone, and never be forgotten, no matter the time that pass! We really know the great person he was. A Simple, humble person with a big heart, friendly, smart, depressed, kind to everyone. The fame did not matter! Even if he have taken his own life (I know, you acted like an idiot at the end) had different reasons for this, but still had a way to try. We all have faults and qualities, after all we are human beings. But one thing is certain: Kurt is dead but not gone, it is still present through his great music, who really loves he! We love and miss you, Kurdt! Thanks for everything! Peace, love and empathy.
